Challenge: Week 5

It is with sad news to report that this week I’d like to erase from the boards (but won’t) and will have a much better update next week.

After everything that has been pushed through and said previously about getting my bum into the gym regardless of my environment, this week was definitely not the best for being motivated whatsoever. It killed, literally.

Lots of things happening all at once: PMS, interviews, volunteering time at my friend’s shop, volunteering more time outside of the shop, men, a possible book deal (post to come). In layman’s terms A LOT, so to say I was a little distracted is the understatement of the week.

My A game was off and I’m not apologizing for it because my body is already telling me that it is highly disappointed in the behavior.

I’m sorry, I really and truly am! Please stop being bloated! Thanks M.

Workouts were lessened to 2 days this week and were mostly cardio. Structured meals went out the window as I was trekking back and forth from the city to the suburbs and the water intake went massively down as well.

To say it was trouble in paradise holds true but I am bound and determined to get back on track beginning tomorrow morning.

No favorite exercises as the gym and I sort of had an altercation due to the aforementioned reasons above. Le Sigh.

Lesson Learned This Week

Stay at a steady pace, don’t over exert yourself. You are not superwoman, even she has days without makeup, her shiny suit and cape and has to deal with day to day struggles (or superman if you’re a man). Take it easy and get back on the train.

  1. Well, at least this week is ova! As the old saying goes, everyone falls down, but it is how you pick yourself and dust yourself off that really shows your character. I doubt you will have no problem getting back on track :) Have a good next week, start it off with a GREAT Monday!

Once a blonde-always a blonde,jk everyone has those moments! It's just safe to blame them on the blondies :)

  4. Hey girl! I'm here from FTLOB. I agree..."the best laid plans" can very often go awry! I started my workout regimen this last week, too. BUt not everything went as planned. Keep plugging away. I notice that I am WAY harder on myself than anyone else could ever be. Sometimes, we need to be a little nicer to ourselves and celebrate our successes...however small they are!

  6. @Crystal:We are our own worst critic, seriously! Good luck this week to you too.

@lindsey:Thanks! That's kinda what I was thinking too. Superwoman on crack only leads to a body in shock.

    Happy Sunday!!

  7. We're on the verge of a new week - you can only go up from here..if nothing else, I always find that PMS plays a huge role in these sort of dealios..which is a huge pain in the ass!

Sounds like you've had a crazy, busy and slightly stressful week! Walk it off and get back on the horse (or treadmill - whatever floats your boat ;)) If there's anything that I've learned...it's to not let the crappy 'off' weeks affect the day, week, WHATEVER after that..that's when things get REALLY off rail!

Goodluck, hope your week is getting better! I've been reading your posts (and LOVING them..) but haven't been great at commenting this week..there were actually a couple that I wanted to go back and comment on because I had SO! MUCH! TO! SAY! - so hopefully I will be able to do that later today..if I don't fall asleep from exhaustion..haha! I want to pick your brain on online dating..LOL!

  8. Hi Morgan- Im visiting from FTLOB and just had to see what a fellow blonde had to say:-) At least you are putting forth an effort to conduct a happier lifestyle and are AWARE...so many people lack that, and I am certain this week will be better for you! One day at a time is the only way I get through:-)

    Good luck- love your blog!:-)

@Shalyn:Thanks for dropping in! Gotsta give love to the FTLOB :) I seriously am thinking it was pms related-fits the symps but I totally agree about being aware and making the effort. As much as we bitch and moan we only have one body!

  10. I feel your pain, my dear! I am so impressed with your ability to work toward something you want...despite the setbacks, you're making the most of it and realizing what's important: that you're learning lessons and you'll keep working at what you want! so happy to have stumbled on your blog :) xoxo {av}
